The imminent arrival of NICOLAS PEPE has left the Arsenal fans dozing in front of the winger – and hitting Wilfried Zaha.
Excited fans turned The Pepe Show into a comedy AND a tragedy after the Gunners agreed for £ 72m on the Lille and Liverpool targets.
Arsenal is in "advanced negotiations" on Ivorian star Pepe, while Napoli's interest has faded because of its wage demands.
But Gooners on social media has spent almost as much time dragging the Crystal Palace Zaha leader on his hesitant hopes of joining Arsenal than to greet Pepe.
Memes described Zaha, disconcerted, reading how the Gunners were about to beat the richest club in the world – United – and the winner of the Champions League Liverpool, Pepe, 24 years old.
A tweet suggested that Zaha would feel "betrayed" while "reading all Nicolas Pepe's tweets".
Another showed a caricatured version of Zaha in an Arsenal shirt crying his broken dream while he was now considering that Everton is stepping up his pursuit.
But many Gooners watched the light of life teasing their leading Premier League rivals on Pepe's leadership race.
After years of Arsenal having failed to meet the title challenge, a fan posted: "Really crazy how ready I am to forgive and forget everything if that player signs."
A colleague Gooner went even further by saying, "Announce Pepe and the era of jokes is forgiven".
& # 39; ARRANGE FOR THIS TO ARRIVE & # 39;
He listed a decade of misadventures that left Arsenal at the mercy of mockers: "The 10-2 defeat to Bayern, forcing Källström to resolve an injury crisis, losing Ramsey for free, Jesse Lingard dancing to the Emirates, William Gallas being our number 10, the saga of the RVPs. "
And perhaps speaking for all Gooners, he signed with: "Do it, please."
A supporter also made a quick effort declaring that paying Pepe's purchase for such a huge sum would soon pay off.
Finishing with special interest for Man Utd and earning money, he tweeted: "Pepe 's bid is 80 million euros. Arsenal starter and exit kit with Pepe 19: € 160. Arsenal fans around the world make $ 28.4 million to buy two Pepe shirts to give us $ 80 million.
This total amount of 80 million euros is equivalent, of course, to the euro equivalent of Pepe's fees of 72 million pounds.
Some Liverpool fans, however, were horrified to apparently miss Pepe – to an Arsenal team that finished fifth in Prem's fifth place last season, three places less than Jurgen Klopp's men.
One of them said: @COYGBH: Arsenal, winner of the Europa League, beats the winner of the Champions League, Liverpool, at the signing of Nicolas Pepe ???
Another distressed Anfieldite posted: "Nicolas Pepe is literally out to take, why the f *** would not have offered you @LFC.
"Imagine that if one of the wingers gets injured, we literally have Shaqiri, who is probably the most inconsistent player I've ever seen in my life."
But if the Kop are abused by Pepe, Klopp could choose a dear, pacy pearler elsewhere. But we all know that it's easier said than done.
Announce Grandpa and the joke era is forgiven, @Arsenal. The 10-2 defeat against Bayern, which forced Källström to solve an injury crisis, lost Ramsey for free, Jesse Lingard dancing in the Emirates, William Gallas being our number 10, the RvP saga. All. Have him arrive, please.

Pepe bid is 80 M €
Arsenal home and outdoor kit with Pepe 19: 160 €.
Arsenal fans around the world: 28.4 m.
Which means that only 500,000 people have to buy two Pepe shirts to give us 80 million euros.
Good deal.#TweetLikeaUnitedFan
