WARNING: The following article contains season two spoilers from Killing Eve.
The Twelve were referenced during seasons one and two with Villanelle (played Jodie Comer) having ties to the murderous group of killers.
But a fan does not believe that the gang actually exists and is instead used to scare.
And, they believe it's Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) who will discover the truth once she's recovered after being shot by Villanelle.
There were certainly a lot of games going on in the second season, so it's not surprising that fans doubt certain scenarios.
Robo2na, the user of Reddit, has theorized that the Twelve are actually a group formed or controlled by the boss of Eve, Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw).
They speculated: "The way Carolyn manipulated Eve and how things went with Konstantin and Villanelle, reminded me of what V had told Eve the first time they'd been there. sitting together.
"If you go up high enough, you will find that we are working for the same people."
"I think Carolyn knows a lot more than she suggests and could very well be behind all this, even though her relationships and abilities may not be enough to call her Moriarty.
"I just think the Twelve are a badier distraction from reality."
Other fans seemed to like the idea, another suggesting that the Twelve are not individuals but organizations.
However, another Redditor noted that the Twelve exist and that they are a deadly force to be reckoned with.
They explain in the books on which the series is based, the group wants Villanelle and his manager Konstantin (Kim Bodnia) to be dead because they were compromised.
If they take it to Villanelle in the third inning, it is likely that Eve is again driven into the action – if she survives – to help the killer.
Another remarked that Carolyn was the one who opened the investigation of The Twelve, but it was never explained to her why – what's she keeping Eve?
Could Eve's next victim be Carolyn, knowing that her boss has always been involved in The Twelve?
This happens while the fans are certain that Villanelle will spend a lot of time looking for his family.
The killer, originally known as Oksana, thought his family was dead, but in the second season, Konstantin had told him that "most" were dead.
Although Villanelle did not immediately start asking questions about her loved ones, she will not forget to keep her knowledge for the moment she can do something.
Many fans want the first episodes of the new series to focus on finding Villanelle's family in Russia, while Eve's fate is at stake.
Killing Eve Season 2 is now available on BBC iPlayer.
