LAS CRUCES, NM (AP) – A New Mexico woman faces charges after police ordered a sonic to give her food and told a waiter, "This is God," before escaping.

Las Cruces newspaper Sun-News reports that Delila Hernandez, 30, was arrested on Monday in a robbery case.

Police said that Hernandez was in Las Cruces with his bike and ordered a meal. When the waiter asked for the payment, she would have told him, "This one is about God."

The police said the waiter told him, "That's not how it works," but gave him the meal after she approached him.

The police then found Hernandez in a nearby park.

It was not known whether Hernandez had a lawyer who could comment on the allegations.

Authorities say his charges could be reduced.
