Olloboi Commodore, General Manager of Division 1 Club, Accra Great Olympics, said the Black Stars' technical team was to be disbanded after its disappointing performance at the African Nations Cup tournament (AFCON ) which had just finished.
Ghana failed in another attempt to win 5th Title of the CAN at the Continental Confrontation of 2019 in Egypt. Despite advancing in Group F as leaders ahead of favorite Cameroon, the Stars were shocked by Tunisia's Carthage Eagles in the round of sixteen.
After the release, head coach James Kwesi Appiah and other members of his technical team were fired for not meeting the country's goal of winning the tournament this year.
In a recent interview on Kingdom FM, Olloboi Commodore said that the majority of Black Stars' technical members should be directed to the exit door.
"The Black Stars technical team should be dissolved. We can keep a few members, but I think the majority of technical members should have the door, "he said.
Coach Kwesi Appiah is under contract until December of this year and it is unclear when he will be eliminated with his technical staff before the expiry of his contract.
