Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson said he has met expectations last season, but he's sure he's waiting for more in the next season.

The Reds caught Robertson from Hull City two summers ago, but the defenseman was first neglected by Jurgen Klopp and had to wait to score.

However, two seasons later, the "little guy from Glasgow", as he called himself in a Twitter post after winning the Champions League in June, he has emerged as one of the leading defenders of the Premier League.

The 25-year-old earned 11 badists in the last Premier League game and played a major role in defending the Merseyside-based club, who scored only 22 goals and 21 blank sheets.

Last weekend marked the second anniversary of Scotsman's arrival in Liverpool and Robertson expressed his joy at meeting expectations, while hoping that it will be the same at the beginning of the new season .

"Last season was a great season for me because there was a little more expectation at the beginning because of the six months that I had before; I felt like I had managed to manage that "Robertson said Liverpool's official website.

"This season, there will probably be more.

"I'm just trying to add something, to continue to perform well and to continue contributing to the team, as the director and coaches wish."

Robertson has already played 78 games for Liverpool and hopes to enter the club of three figures in the coming season.
