Two products containing bottled water recalled compared to arsenic levels

BWG Foods has published a recall of two of its products containing bottled water because arsenic has been detected at levels above the legal limit.

A message posted today on Saturday, July 27th on the Food Safety Authority's website announced that 750ml water bottles and Londil Water Still bottles of 1 liter were recalled due to the presence of arsenic above normal.

As a precautionary measure, BWG Foods is removing a batch of SPAR Water Still Sport – 750 ml and Londis Water Still – 1 liter due to the presence of above normal arsenic. Consumption of the product poses no immediate or permanent risk, "reads on the site.

Retailers are advised to remove the relevant lots from the sale and consumers have been warned not to drink water.
