Temperatures have reached record highs in many countries of the old continent.
A heatwave swept through Western Europe this week, with cities ranging from France to the Netherlands experiencing record temperatures.
In Germany, a new record forced the shutdown of a nuclear reactor when the water became too hot.
And with British temperatures surpbading previous levels, the Met Office warns heatwaves like this could become normal in two decades.
So, if that's right, are we doing enough to prevent them?
