WELLESLEY – Police arrested a local 60-year-old man in connection with an incident at the Boston Sports Club involving the alleged photographer photographing a child taking a shower.
Barry Williams is accused of secretly recording a child under the age of 18 naked or partially naked. The accusation is a crime.
After receiving the report on July 9, Wellesley police and detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation immediately opened an investigation. During the investigation, a suspect was identified with the help of Boston Sports Club staff.
At around 9 am on Monday, police executed a search warrant at 196 Washington Street Detectives from the Computer Crime Unit of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) and NORPAC helped execute the warrant.
Following the search warrant, Williams was arrested and charged on the scene. He was arrested later that day at the Wellesley Police Department and taken to the Dedham District Court to be charged. The deposit was set at $ 2,500.
The police did not disclose any other details, citing an ongoing investigation.
