Tommy Fury has become a household name after his stay at Love Island in the past two months.
While his life on the outside will never be the same after being catapulted into the spotlight, all signs suggest that the youngest member of any of the most famous fighter families will return to the ring .
Fury, 20, spoke Friday of his enthusiasm for girlfriend Molly-Mae, seeing him "in his element" in the boxing ring at the exit of the villa.
But how far can Fury's course go in the ring, and what about his ambitions in the ring?
Where does he think he can go?
He talked about it in Villa Love Island, but Fury insists he has the tools to become a world champion.
Describing his goals early in his professional career, he said: "I want to be world champion, I think that if you become professional, you have to be what you want to achieve.
"I do not want to fight against people that I can easily reverse, I want to be progressed by climbing the ladder every time I get in the ring.
"I want to fight against someone who wants to fight me and try to make things competitive."
Of course, every fighter aims to reach the top of the world – what are his chances of imitating brother Tyson to achieve his goal?
History up to now
Fury became professional only at the end of 2018 and has a record of 2-0.
He made his debut under Josh Warrington's undercourt against Carl Frampton in Manchester on Dec. 22, defeating Jevgenijs Andrejevs in points in a four-way match.
The companion was 10-102-3 and Fury's victory was expected, although he was able to shoot well.
On March 23, 2019, he stopped without victory in the two minutes of Callum Ide with a much more convincing display, highlighting his power.
Climbing the professional ladder may take some time, especially because of his lack of amateur experience.
But he feels that he is better suited to professional sport – with his power and family pedigree that will support him well.
"It's not because you're a good hobbyist that you'll make good professionals," Fury explained.
"I did not like it at all, with these protections and these big gloves. It was not at all for me to score points and it's really like a game of tig.
"At the professionals, especially if you're energized, you have to sit down. In three rounds, you can not really do that. "
Being the brother of Tyson
Tommy has watched from the bottom when his older brother Tyson conquered the world's heavyweight division.
"It's a big name, but I do not feel any extra pressure because of that, I know I'm going to make a name for myself in this sport."
"Looking back over the years, Tyson and Hughie trained. They were
get all the coverage, do some exercise with the media and fight – now it's my turn.
"Everyone saw me roaming the background for years wondering if I would succeed one day. Now it has come that I have to wait impatiently for the moment, but he has come and I will take it with both hands because these opportunities do not show up all the time.
"I have the best start and I'm going to make a good one."
Boxing on modeling
Will he focus on a boxing career even with the media attention that his fame will bring to Love Island?
That's the big question and it's impossible to say for sure.
But he had previously refused modeling work to pursue his craving for boxing, and this seems unlikely.
He seems to recognize that boxing is a game where appearance, profile and image mean nothing – suggesting he will keep the right approach to succeed in the ring under media attention.
After going professional, he said: "It was always a direct choice for me, but the appearance does not mean anything at the end of the day because it does not help you in boxing.
"I have a good physique, but it does not help me in boxing.
"It was an option and I was on the right track because I always had people asking me to do modeling for the best money possible in boxing.
"Yes, I could stay there and make a lot of money, but I would wonder at night if that was really what I wanted to do. With boxing, I can sit comfortably at night thinking that it's perfect and that I'm happy with what I'm doing. "
Verdict
It is difficult to really evaluate Fury's potential after two professional struggles against a mediocre opposition.
It is also difficult to know exactly how much he will focus on boxing in the middle of great distractions at the exit of the villa.
A key factor to consider is its recent renown, which means that social media critics will inevitably face tremendous pressure.
Fans, promoters and Fury himself will have to be patient when he wants to climb the ladder – but his education, his heritage and his physique suggest that he has the natural tools to challenge at the national level and potentially advance towards global honors in the future.
