Liverpool has confirmed Harvey Elliott's signing of Fulham.

The teenage winger became the youngest beginner in the history of the Premier League last season when he played against Wolves aged 16 and 30 days.

Elliott made three senior appearances for the Cottagers during the 2018-2019 campaign and sparked the interest of Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.

But Liverpool won the race to secure Elliott's signature and confirmed Sunday morning that the winger had arrived at Anfield from West London.

The English international junior will be part of the Liverpool squad for Sunday's preseason game against Naples and the subsequent training camp in Evian.

Elliott is now Liverpool's second rookie of the summer, after his compatriot Sepp van den Berg signed a £ 1.3 million deal with Anfield earlier this month.

After a season in which Liverpool won the Champions League and finished second in the Premier League, Klopp admitted that the club would not be busy during the summer transfer window.

Asked about Liverpool's transfer plans last week, Klopp told ECHO: "We are still looking for it, but it will not be the case. [biggest] CFL transfer window.

"It will be just a transfer window. We will see what we are doing and if we have not done anything by the end, it will be for different reasons.

"It's to use this team. In the transfer window, you need to build a team with which you think you want to go in the season. But I already have this team.

"If we can involve someone who further improves the situation, we'll see. But otherwise, this team is already there. And again, we will have to find solutions at different times. "

Liverpool starts its 2019-20 season in the Premier League against Norwich City on August 9th.
