The four builders were taken to the Turkish embbady in Abuja after being rescued
Four Turkish nationals were rescued a week after being kidnapped by gunmen in the state of Kwara, in western Nigeria, police said.
The four construction workers were kidnapped from a bar last week.
The kidnappers had claimed a ransom of $ 1 million, but police said no amount had been paid and they had been released "unconditionally".
Kidnappings for ransom are common in Nigeria, with prominent foreigners and Nigerians often targeted.
Two weeks ago, pirates attacked a freighter off the coast of Nigeria and abducted 10 Turkish sailors. Their destiny remains unknown.
The Turkish builders were found in a bush on Friday, BBC Kayode Egbetokun, police commissioner of Kwara Sate, told BBC.
The rescue operation was conducted by state police, local militia and a team of envoys from the capital, Abuja.
Mr. Egbetoku said that the arrest of three other kidnappers, before the rescue operation, had helped.
"These arrests have prompted remaining gang members to ensure that Turkish hostages are unconditionally released," he said, adding that the police were looking for the rest of the gang.
The four Turkish nationals underwent medical examinations after their release.
Turkey's ambbadador to Nigeria, Melih Ulueren, said he was happy with the end of the ordeal and thanked those involved in the operation, reports from TRT reported.
