It's been more than 10 years since Destiny's Child released music, but fans may be expecting even longer for new songs. While the legendary girls' group of the 90s met for Coachella in 2018, Kelly Rowland said on July 23 that she and her members would not meet officially anytime soon.
What did Kelly Rowland say about meeting a child of fate?
The singer "Motivation" opened at Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 23 to find out if she and her band members would meet one day. She told the publication that she, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams "did not talk about it." Rowland added that this "was not taken into account".
"Everyone, like, is basically doing their own projects right now and we are supporting each other," added the 38-year-old.
The singers really did their own things. Rowland is preparing to release her fifth studio album, following that of 2013. Speak a good game. Williams has been busy with speaking engagements and other public appearances. And Beyoncé, on the other hand, is working as part of her new role in the live remake of The Lion King.
But, as Rowland has said, they still support each other. More recently, Rowland and Williams attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Lion King to the support of their good friend. They landed on the red carpet wearing the same animated appearances.
Comments from Williams and Beyoncé on a meeting go in the same direction
The other members of the girls' group, who started as a teenager in 1997, made similar comments. Williams told Billboard in 2013 that she did not know if they would meet, but she did not rule out that possibility. "You really want those moments again," she told the publication.
Asked about the future of Destiny's Child in an interview with the Associated Press in November 2004, Beyoncé was not family. "I think that with Destiny's Child, our main goal is to maintain our friendship, and if in three years, five years, ten years, we will do it if we decide to create another Destiny's Child record." she explained.
"But I think our main goal was to make[[[[Destiny accomplished]and I think we just want to have kids playing together " lemonade Crooner continued.
When was the last time Destiny's Child released an album?
Last Destiny's Child album is 2004 Destiny accomplished. The record came after a two-year break from the band during which they pursued solo projects.
These projects include Rowland's first album Simply deep (2002), which included the single "Dilemma" No. 1; Williams' first album Heart to you (2002), which is at the top of the list of gospel albums; and Beyoncé's critically acclaimed debut album Dangerously in love (2003), which earned him five Grammy Awards and earned him superstar status.
They announced their intention to separate after the tour for Destiny accomplished. In a statement to MTV News, they said they were ready to move on after "working together as Destiny's Child since the age of 9 and shot together since the age of 14".
"We realized that the time had come to pursue our personal goals and our solo efforts seriously," the statement said. "No matter what happens, we will always love each other as friends and sisters and we will always support ourselves as artists."
It's better than nothing, right?
