Manchester United still believes in Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff

Manchester United would still be confident of securing the future of Harry Maguire in Leicester City and Sean Longstaff in Newcastle United.

The two English were the target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all summer, but none of them was lucky.

Fans are increasingly frustrated by the incompetence of the board with only two players arriving at Old Trafford during this transfer period.

This summer, rebuilding was expected to begin and is arguably the biggest since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

United is likely to sink into the abyss and become a sleeping giant similar to AC Milan if they do not settle their transfer window.

Manchester United are just not going to sign Bruno Fernandes or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic if Paul Pogba stays at the club. Do not expect any movement in either direction. Maguire / Longstaf however remains very possible. #mufc

It's fair to say that Maguire and Longstaff have opinions shared by fans for different and different reasons.

The Leicester star is an expensive purchase that gives the impression that there are better options for the fees they will spend.

Others think that Harry will add the quality that is currently missing at the back of the group that leaks.

Sean's inexperience and the lack of a well-known name have made some fans unwilling to invest in the midfield.

Others think that the young Englishman will be able to replace Nemanja Matic over time and that if he realized his potential, United would have a jewel at hand.
