ROGER Green was an unpretentious savior for many Clarence members fighting cancer. He donated a little less than $ 110,000 in cash to local people in need.

"I always give it locally, I make three donations to charity for the children, but otherwise it goes directly to the people," Green said.
"Sometimes, they have one of those fundraisers for the club people, I go in and I donate $ 1,000, without that being known."
Mr. Green said that he was disappointed that the money was gone, but was more disappointed with what could have been done with it.
"It's not my money," he said. "It's money for cancer, to help with that, and now it's gone," he said.
This is not the first time money has been stolen, many people using it while playing to earn money in his guitar case.

Mr Green stated that he was not being discouraged and that despite a recent knee operation and stroke, he was determined to return to play and to help.
