The father of Senzo Meyiwa, former goalkeeper of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates, died of a second stroke.
Samuel Meyiwa had a stroke in August 2018, TimesLive reported Monday, and he has been in and out of the hospital ever since.
His family confirmed that he had died at his home in Umlazi, Durban, EWN reported.
In 2014, Senzo Meyiwa was shot in Vosloorus at the home of his friend Kelly Khumalo, in what we thought was a robbery.
The police were accused of being dragged in this case and still failed to break through, even though several people in the house have witnessed the murder. The Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, had previously promised to give priority to the case.
