Nancy Pelosi with the Congress delegation
US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered a wreath on behalf of the government and people of the United States at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra Monday afternoon and signed the book of condolences.
She arrived at the museum with a Congressional delegation and was greeted by the director of the memorial park, Alhaji Abubakari Issah Osman.
She went to the statue of Dr. Nkrumah and laid a wreath with the delegation.
After a brief interaction and taking a photo, she entered the mausoleum that houses the remains of Dr. Nkrumah and his wife Fathia and signed the book of condolences.
After that, she visited the museum, which also houses Dr. Nkrumah's personal effects and publications.
