Electoral director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition party, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, said the party will spare no effort to protect the ballot in the upcoming presidential and legislative elections in 2020.

Ankrah was speaking in Tamale on Saturday (July 27th) to organize a three-day retreat to educate and empower opposition party election directors.

The theme of the retreat was "Strategic Repositioning of the Elections Directorate for the 2020 Elections".

The retreat will expose participants to scientific knowledge and an approach to managing elections to prepare them for the 2020 elections.

According to him, the signs of victory in 2020 are clear: the return of the NDC is planned for 2020.

He said the NPP had failed Ghanaians and the upcoming polls would serve as a rescue mission to save Ghanaians from the hardships caused by the Nana Addo-led government.
