Canadian kidnappers: Four bail of 200,000 GH granted | General news

The High Court of Accra has granted a bond of 200,000 GH each, along with two sureties, to four of the eight accused brought to justice for the kidnapping of the two Canadians in Kumasi.

Emmanuel Ebo Hawkson of Graphic Online reports that, under the condition of the surety, one of the sureties must be justified, while Abdul Nasir, Seidu Abubakari, aka NBA, Safianu Abubakari and Abdul Rahman, Suleiman, also known as Worfa, must report to the Kumasi Central Police Station every Monday.

The court, chaired by Judge George Buadi, granted bail to the four people following an application for bail of their lawyers.

The hearing is continuing on August 12, 2019.

Accused

The other defendants are Sampson Aghalor, aka Romeo, Elvis Ojiyorwe and Jeff Omarsar, Yusif Yakubu.

They were accused of playing various roles in the abduction of Miss Lauren Patricia Catherine Tiley and Miss Bailey Jordan Chilly, who were in Kumasi to participate in a youth program on June 4, 2019.

All of the defendants were charged with conspiracy to kidnap, while Aghalor, Ojiyorwe, Omarsar and Yakubu were also charged with kidnapping.
