This was revealed in a press release signed by WAEC's Public Affairs Officer, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe.

According to WAEC, the results were disclosed as a result of various cases of exam-related fraud detected during and after the course of the examination.

Bad practices include:

bring foreign material such as prepared notes, printed matter and cell phones into the examination room;

collusion between candidates;

planned cheating that took place with the connivance of some supervisors and school authorities.

WAEC added that the results retained by the candidates could be canceled or published according to the results of the surveys.

S & P to attack professional misconduct

In June, WAEC implemented some measures, including the ban on using cell phones in the examination centers to combat abuse.

As a result, supervisors, supervisors and candidates were advised not to use cell phones or other such gadgets during exams.

According to WAEC, the ban had become necessary after the results of a research that had established that adults were the main culprits of exam abuse at all levels of education in the world. country.

In addition, no supervisor or supervisor would be authorized, under any circumstances, to supervise or supervise candidates from schools in which the supervisor or supervisor is affiliated.
