The fall of the pound over fears of a Brexit deal has come at a terrible time for British holidaymakers, as many are traveling abroad this summer.
Sterling fell after new Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his cabinet took a firm stance on EU negotiations on Brexit.
Minister Michael Gove wrote in the Sunday Times that "no-deal is now a real prospect" and that the government is "working on the badumption" of a deal-free Brexit, which resulted in a sharp drop of the value of the pound sterling. Monday, without slowing down on Tuesday.
Since then, Johnson has insisted that he would do "an extra thousand kilometers" to get an agreement, but two months away from the October 31st Brexit deadline, many believe that he has put the UK on the road to a Brexit on the cliffside.
This announces bad news for British holidaymakers traveling abroad, with the British pound hit by Brexit resulting in some of the lowest exchange rates.
