– US Congress President Nancy Pelosi arrived Sunday in Accra, capital of Ghana, for a visit
– As part of her itinerary, she visited the government headquarters, Jubilee House, on Monday, July 29, to hold high-level talks with Ghana's President Nana Akufo Addo and other government officials.
– The delegation has already visited the African headquarters of the US Army in Italy as part of this trip
Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, accompanied by members of the US Congressional Black Caucus, was at Jubilee House to pay a courtesy call on President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The meeting was aimed at strengthening the ties of cooperation and friendship between Ghana and the United States of America.
In Ghana, Nancy Pelosi will lead the Congress delegation to the Cape Coast and Elmina Castles and to the "Gate of No Return" to participate in the activities of the year of return.

The Year of Return activity offers Africans in the diaspora the opportunity to return to the mainland and reconnect, 400 years after the departure of the first group of slaves from the United States of America.
Pelosi will also address Ghana's parliament on Wednesday, July 31, becoming the first US president to do so.
She said, "It is a special honor to be the first Speaker of the US House to speak to the illustrious Parliament of Ghana as we build on the partnership between our nations."
