9 big transfers in the Premier League that could still happen before the transfer deadline

[ad_1]

With the closing of the window transfers in a little over a week, teams across the country are struggling to sign late and strengthen their teams in anticipation of the new season.

Here are the most likely potential moves before closing the window at 8 am on August 17 at 5 pm …

Harry Maguire at Manchester United

The English international should always leave the King Power Stadium before the end of the window, despite a disagreement over the registration fee.

Manchester United would have seen an offer of £ 70 million rejected for the 26-year-old, while the Foxes would hold up to £ 85 million. Maguire wants to go out but has signed a new contract with the club last year – although stories suggest that it was agreed that Leicester would let him go if a reasonable offer was received this summer.

Ryan Sessegnon in Tottenham

It's as if Fulham's talisman, Sessegnon, had been linked to a move to Tottenham since he was in the womb. At 19, the winger should finally travel to North London this summer, the player wishing to work under the orders of Mauricio Pochettino.

At one year of its current contract, the initial valuation of £ 50 million was almost halved. A good deal for the Spurs.

Dennis Praet in Leicester

Praet, 25, has already been badociated with a transfer to the Premier League via Arsenal; Unai Emery would have liked to reunite the Belgian and Lucas Torreira. A move to the UAE, however, is highly unlikely as the Gunners hired Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Instead, Leicester became an admirer of the Belgian and could pay the 26 million euros that Sampdoria wants for his 25-year-old playmaker. Brendan Rodgers has confessed his desire to sign an offensive midfielder this summer, and Praet could do the same to join his compatriot Yuri Tielemans (£ 40 million).

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at Manchester United

The Lazio midfielder would like to move to the Premier League, and Manchester United seems to be the favorite of the 24-year-old Serb. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to strengthen his central midfielder after losing Marouane Fellaini in January and Ander Herrera in free transfer this summer.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito admitted that his club was open to the sale of Milinkovic-Savic. A fee of 70 to 90 million pounds would probably be enough to convince him. As Paul Pogba's situation has not yet been resolved, it is still pending.

Wilfried Zaha at Everton

Wilfried Zaha

The star of the Crystal Palace is a prime target for the Toffees, who would have seen two rejected offers for the former Manchester United winger. Arsenal seems to be out of play, having chosen to sign Nicolas Pepe, Lille.

Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy were both included in the £ 55-million-plus deal that was rejected by the London club. Zaha wants to join the top six before closing the window, but it remains to be seen if any other offers will arrive for the 26-year-old – all the more so as Everton has agreed to pbad a £ 36m contract to Juventus star Moise Kean.

Romelu Lukaku at Juventus … or at Inter?

Lukaku was banned from the Manchester United group in Oslo while the Red Devils defeated Kristiansand. Solskjaer confirmed that the player had to work on his fitness – Lukaku did not throw a ball in pre-season – and remained in Carrington.

Inter Milan have pursued the attacker all summer long, but do not have the funds to meet the United's asking price of 80 million pounds; now, Juventus has emerged as a contender for the 27-year-old player and could offer Paulo Dybala in exchange. Anyway, it's hard to see Lukaku at Old Trafford by the end of next week.

Giovani Lo Celso in Tottenham

The Real Betis midfielder has been strongly linked to a move to Tottenham over the past two weeks, but a possible deal has dragged on. Mauricio Pochettino would like to sign this 21-year-old Argentinean, who has just obtained a loan from the permanent PSG at Betis this summer.

Lo Celso seemed to confirm his departure from the Spanish camp after bidding farewell to one of his coaches via Instagram. Betis would have lowered his asking price to 45 million pounds sterling, and Pochettino hopes Daniel Levy will give the green light to an agreement before next week.

Allan Saint-Maximin in Newcastle

Steve Bruce has seen Newcastle break his transfer record since taking office, although he had little to do with Joelinton's signing of Hoffenheim for £ 40m. His next rookie could be the French winger Saint-Maximin, in a swap of 23 million pounds sterling.

The Magpies have already seen an offer of £ 14 million rejected, and it is unlikely that the player will come cheap since he still has three years to execute his current contract. Maximin has played 74 games with Nice since his arrival in 2017, where he conceded 11 goals, coming from Monaco.

Mario Lemina at Everton

Everton wants to secure Southampton Lemina midfielder's signature after Idissa Gueye's departure for Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester have all been attracted to the Gabonese international, but do not seem to have pushed their interest further.

Lemina, 25, joined Saints in the summer of 2017, but told the club that he wished to leave. Southampton wants £ 20 million for the midfielder who joined them from Juventus for just over £ 15m in August 2017 – and will likely get their wish.
