The reality TV star, Jemma Lucy, has been criticized by the watchdog for advertising a post on Instagram promoting a weight loss drink.

The 31-year-old job, shared in early May, was banned after being deemed "irresponsible".

According to the Advertising Standards Authority, the Jemma Post has breached a number of rules, including not being easily identifiable as advertising and encouraging "unsafe practices" during pregnancy.

The controversial post of the former star of Ex on the Beach shows her sitting by a table, in her underwear and socks, while rocking a cup.

It is positioned next to the products of the Skinny Caffe weight loss brand.

This post was actually an advertisement and sparked 25 complaints from the ASA.

She commented on the post: "I stayed in shape with my go to to skinnycaffe products. I love coffee [sic], Hot chocolate [sic] and the Thermosyn capsules are amazing!

"I like to use them like me and some girls have achieved excellent results and work with or without exercise. You can lose up to 7 pounds in 7 days with Thermosyn.

"For now, you can claim your first Thermosyn package for free by clicking here," adding a link to the brand's website.

Jemma gave birth a month after posting the controversial message on her Instagram account.

Jemma, who has participated in a number of reality shows, including Signed by Katie Price, Ex on the Beach and Celebrity Big Brother, did not mark the message as an advertising or promotional message.

It was shared with its 642,000 Instagram subscribers and sparked 25 complaints.

The three problems identified by the advertising watchdog included not making it "manifestly identifiable" as a product advertisement, being "irresponsible" to encourage weight loss during pregnancy and at the rate and amount of weight loss attributed to the consumption of food.

Jemma has appeared on a number of reality shows, including Ex on the Beach and Celebrity Big Brother.

Choosing the publisher of Showbiz

According to Skinny Caffe, Jemma posted the ad as a favor to a friend.

The brand added that she hoped to "create notoriety before Jemma's delivery" before launching the full campaign later this year.

They also claimed that the star had not hinted that she had used the product during pregnancy, noting that their website indicated that the products could not be used during pregnancy.

Jemma claims that she did not write the legend of the article, claiming that it had been provided by the mark.

Publication being prohibited, it should no longer appear in the form at the origin of the original claims.

Jemma has also been informed that all future commercials must be "clearly identifiable as marketing communications".
