Kwabena Nsenkyire, first regional vice president of the NPP for the Ashanti region, who revealed this information on the radio, said that Alidu Seidu was very popular in Asawase, which allowed him to lead the party to victory.

He added that Alidu Seidu had obtained a very large number of votes and that he had narrowly missed the NPP's headquarters in Asawase in the 2016 elections. He should therefore be maintained as a candidate for the post. deputy for 2020.
