Bournemouth striker Josh King insisted that the goal of his current Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, was within reach.

Solskjaer is reshaping Manchester United in his image. He seeks to evolve the club as a manager after years of stasis since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.

However, the former striker remains a legend at Old Trafford because of his very successful career. He is the most prolific Norwegian to have even played in the Premier League with 91 goals.

King is right behind the Manchester United legend in the Norwegians' standings with 42 goals and admits that it would be great to be able to outperform Solskjaer in the years to come.

The Bournemouth striker wants to meet Manchester United boss and talk to him personally about his goal.

"I want to catch Ole", King told a Norwegian broadcaster TV2 when asked questions about the file.

"This is not something I think about a lot, but it would be fun to be a little boy of Romsas with the most goals for a Norwegian Premier League.

"I said I would leave [John] Carew [the former Aston Villa striker with 41 goals] behind me and me.

"I'll have to wait to meet Ole before telling him I want to catch him."

King also spent time in the youth squads of Manchester United and scored 12 Premier League goals last season for the Cherries.
