YouTuber Saffron Barker had aspirations for reality TV before Strictly Come Dancing because she told us about her "very competitive" nature.

In the process of Metro.co.uk at VidCon London about her own I'm A Celebrity series on her YouTube channel, she explained that she was very interested in it – and that she would definitely give a glimpse of the actual show.

"The craziest thing in my opinion [I’ve done] That's when I made my own series of I'm a celebrity. "It's because I love the show that I'm a celebrity and I want to be part of it. I thought I would create mine. [But] I'm just the hardest person who has ever eaten, I'm not trying anything!

"I'm not competitive in life, but in a challenge, I'm very competitive and I wanted to win," said Saffron. "I was going against my brother and [ate things] I would never have eaten in my life.

"It's the hardest thing I've pushed myself," she revealed.

Admitting that she had "a billion percent" said yes to a broadcast offer, it would seem that we had better look at this space!

"I think it would be a lot harder than people think, but I would like to try it," said the 19-year-old.

The vlogger, which has more than 2 million fans, has been announced alongside Chris Ramsey, Emma Barton and David James for Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking about this opportunity, she said: "I am really excited to be traveling Strictly and I am very grateful for this opportunity!

"I can not wait to learn all the dances, find out who my partner is, wear the costumes and live this unique opportunity in a lifetime."

The star follows in the footsteps of compatriot YouTuber Joe Sugg, who reached the final of last year's competition, barely missing the scintillating ball trophy from journalist and presenter Stacey Dooley.
