JORGINHO insists he was not sad when Maurizio Sarri left Chelsea.
The two men moved to Stamford Bridge in 2018 after spending three years together in Napoli.
And Jorginho, 27, quickly became a key figure under Sarri in a new 4-3-3 system, moving N'Golo Kante from the center of the field to dictate Sarriball.
The Italian international has been slow to convince his fans after Sarri's tactics failed to make themselves understood.
He was often accused of being a "teacher's pet" after appearing untouchable at the beginning of the eleventh game.
Jorginho then helped Chelsea to win the Europa League.
Sarri then shocked the Blues when he asked to be released from his contract in order to return to Italy with Juventus, Serie A champion.
According to reports, Sarri sought to collaborate with Jorginho in a third club.
But the Chelsea transfer ban meant that they were not interested in selling players other than Eden Hazard.
The playmaker is about to become an important leader of new manager Frank Lampard.
And Jorginho is firmly considering his future in Chelsea by surprisingly insisting that he was not unhappy with Sarri's departure.
Blue Era
Jorginho told Sky Sports, "It was a new experience for me. I like it while I learn, what I like to do.
"I am happy to have had this opportunity. I like to learn and find out more. This will be beneficial for my career, the club and the team. I have an open mind to learn new experiences.
"No, I would not say that I was sad [when Sarri left]. He was my coach and we had been working together for four years, but now was the time to separate and I am very grateful to him for giving me the opportunity and all that I learned from him. .
"But now, it's a new page and I have a new coach and I have to work hard and learn a lot. We must look ahead.
"I'm asking about positions and various other aspects of the game that's important to know.
"I need to understand what he wants from me. So, I also ask to develop my game.
"The questions I ask dispel the slightest doubt and we can play as he wants. Then we can give the team the way they want us to deliver.
"I'm going to do what I've always done and give my maximum performance. Fans can expect the same from me: hard work and a lot of field work to try to bring the trophies and silverware that this club deserves.
"I believe [I’ll get more goals and badists this season]. I do not have many. Some people said that I had no help – maybe they did not watch the games properly because I could find pbades.
"Hopefully I'll have more luck this season and I'll be able to add some more aids and goals, but most importantly, the team wins. It's more important for the team to win than the number of my aids. "
