Hough made this revelation during a discussion about getting to know her husband, NHL Hockey Agent Brooks Laich.
Hough said, "I was connecting to the woman inside who needs nothing, as opposed to the little girl who was turning to protect me. I was like: "Is he going to like this version of me?" [told him]You know I'm not straight, right? And he was like, "I'm sorry, what? I said to myself, "I am not. But I chose to be with you. "I think my husband is safe now that I'm unpacking all of that – guilt because of what I've said or how I've been brought up."
