Elon Musk says Tesla "rules" a problem with his "Dog Fashion" feature, which keeps pups cool when owners move away from company cars, after a Twitter user has discovered a way to disable this feature inadvertently.
Rahul Sood tweeted late Wednesday that he had activated the Dog mode, changed the fan settings, and then left his seven-month-old Boxer puppy in his Tesla Model X. Dog mode is enabled via the fan settings on Tesla touch screens. But after about 10 minutes, he noticed that the temperature had skyrocketed, because "basically, the air conditioner stops working in Dog mode if you set the fan," he writes. "Probably an easy solution, but if I did not look at it, it would have been horrible."
Tesla is often praised for adding new capabilities to its cars with live software updates, new driver badistance modes for video games, and convenient features like Dog Mode. (And for the sake of it, Sood said, "The fact that the CEO reacted as fast as he did is pretty impressive.") These deployments are not all happening smoothly, as when Tesla had to shoot the clbadic Atari game. First place of his cars because he had not properly secured the rights.
