A group of lawyers claims that Energy Minister John Peter Amewu is contesting the seat of the Hohoe constituency in the 2020 general election.

At a press conference in Hohoe on Wednesday, the group's public relations officer, George Dogbe, said the Energy Minister had proven himself as a workaholic, development-oriented and not selfish, and had demonstrated the qualities of an exemplary leader.

He further stated that the Development Agenda Group, which he said had members from all political divisions, had mobilized internal resources to purchase the NPP's parliamentary nomination forms so that Mr. Amewu can participate in the primaries.
