Accra, August 1, GNA – The National Imam in Chief,
Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu cut grbad for the construction of the State of
astroturf art at Apenkwa Community Park in Accra.
The astroturf that would cost 1.3 million Ghc
is sponsored by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation (GNPC) and
will be built by BLAG Ghana Limited.
At the grbad cutting ceremony, the
Imam National Chief in his speech read by Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, was grateful
GNPC for its support of the project, which would contribute to improving the livelihoods of
the residents.
He urged the inhabitants to maintain the
installation once completed to help preserve it for future generations.

Okaikwei Central Constituency, congratulated the chief imam for spearheading the
initiative to build the facility that would also serve the purpose of the company
rallies and football fields.
& # 39; & # 39; We will put in place a good management plan for
help preserve the ground so that it lasts a long time for future generations

Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah, Executive Director of
GNPC Foundation, outlined the vision of the foundation in terms of impact on the lives of
Ghanaians through education, environmental projects as well as the provision of
social amenities among others.

The 100 by 60 astroturf should be
completed in four months, which would also include closure and lightening of the
playground.
