In his address, the President instructed the caucus to seize the opportunity offered by the 2019 caucus meeting and to identify new strategies that will enable the African continent to mobilize to maintain its prosperity.

"We must seize this opportunity, each of us occupying different positions, working together with the African people and with our educated, qualified, dynamic and young people – we can build a prosperous and confident Africa, and beyond that. We can and must do it Let us work, "said the president.

The caucus will hold a roundtable of three (3) people as part of the meeting. The first commission (1) will focus on the theme "Improving Human Capacity and Skills Development to Accelerate Jobs and Economic Transformation". The second group of experts will discuss the theme "Institutional Capacity Building and Public Financial Management" and the third group will focus on "Promoting Innovative Financing for Private Sector Driven Growth".

The African group was created in 1963 as an "African group", with the aim of strengthening the voice of African governors in the Bretton Woods Institutions (IBW), namely the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WBG). on development issues of particular interest to Africa.

Membership in the Caucus is open to all African member countries of the IMF and WBG, currently the 54 countries on the African continent. Countries are represented by their respective governors in these institutions, commonly referred to as African governors, who are usually ministers of finance and economic development and governors of central banks.
