Bharti Airtel records a net loss of 28,866 crores of Rs in Q1

Bharti Airtel Ltd recorded a consolidated net loss of 2866 million rupees in the first quarter. Airtel incurred an exceptional expense of 1400 rupees during a tariff war with Reliance Jio. This is the first quarterly loss for the company in 14 years. Ateltel's consolidated sales grew by 4.7% year-on-year to reach 20,738 crore in June, compared with 19,799 crore a year ago. Airtel's consolidated net debt amounted to 1.6 trillion kroner at the end of June.
