The Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa decided that his future would be between Italy and Milan – despite the interest of other major European clubs.
Milan had agreed to an agreement with Argentina earlier this summer, but had had to unplug the plug after Monaco 40 million euros for Andre Silva fell to the water. Fortunately for Correa and me Rossoneri, however, this agreement seems to be back now.
according to Football Italia, the agent from Argentina met today with officials from Milan and claimed that the attacker only wanted to join Il Diavolodespite the interest of Monaco and Valencia.
It is now up to Atletico and Milan to reach an agreement with this 24 year old player. However, Silva may be leaving San Siro.
The Rossoneri would be ready to reopen talks with Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, in hopes of reaching an agreement allowing their Portuguese striker to leave the club. It is also claimed that they may now accept a reduced price of €20m plus bonuses rather than initials €30m in order to get agreement for Correa on the line.
Milan has already added four new recruits so far this summer, including the capture of Rafael Leao in Lille for £ 27m.
The addition of Correa to Leao will certainly give the seven-time European champions a strike force to fear Serie A gets under way at the end of August.
