Martin Amidu is Ghana's first special prosecutor.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has, by law, published a list of cases that it has investigated and is currently prosecuting.
In its publication, the OSP revealed that it was currently investigating two corruption cases and prosecuted the defendants.
One of the cases concerns the Republic against Mahama Ayariga and the other, and the other Republic against Hajia Hawa Ninchema and six others.
"There have been no acquittals and convictions, the two cases mentioned above being prosecuted. As a result, no badet value has been recovered, "the statement said.

STATUTORY PUBLICATION OF THE OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL PROSECUTOR UNDER SUBSECTION 3 (3) OF THE OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ATTORNEY ACT, 2017 (LAW No. 959)
Section 3 (3) of the 2017 Law on Special Prosecutors (Law 959) requires the Office of the Special Prosecutor to "publish at least twice a day, every six months, the following information: newspapers in national circulation and on the website of the Office:
a) the list of corruption cases that have been investigated and prosecuted by the Bureau; and (b) the number of acquittals, convictions and pending cases in cases brought under paragraph (a) and the value of the recovered proceeds, if any. "This publication is the first half-yearly publication providing the statutory information provided under Section 3 (3) (a) of Law 959 since the Bureau became operational with a small core of investigators at the end of the year. year 2018:

There were no acquittals and convictions, the two cases listed above being pending. As a result, no badet value has been recovered.
