Amin Alhbadan is GBC's new Executive Director
The National Media Commission (CNM), in consultation with President Akufo-Addo, appointed Professor Amin Alhbadan as Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
The Commission has also appointed Frederick Amissah as the Executive Director of the New Times Corporation.
The appointments are in accordance with Article 168 of the Constitution (1992) and Article 2 (1) e) of the National Press Commission Act 1994, Law 449.
Prof. Bio Amin Alhbadan
Professor Amin Alhbadan is an expert in communication for development. He previously worked for GBC Radio News and the Ghana News Agency after graduating from the Ghana Journalism Institute.
He holds a master's degree and a doctorate in communication from the University of Tampere in Finland and Concordia University in Montreal.
The director of the Wa Campus of the University of Development Studies has taught at the International School of Social Sciences in Finland, at McGill University in Montreal and at the University York to Toronto.
Professor Alhasan joined the University of Nyankpala Campus Development Studies as Dean of the Foundation of the Faculty of Agribusiness and Communication Sciences, where he led a team of professors responsible for presenting communication programs at the diploma levels.
He has served and represented UDS in various capacities, including serving as a member of the UDS Board of Directors for two terms.
Between May 2016 and February 2017, he was appointed chairman of an interim management committee tasked with restoring order to Wa Polytechnic following a prolonged administrative and labor crisis in the United States. ;school.
Professor Alhbadan has been a consultant for several local and international development organizations, including USAID, CIDA and DfID. He is also a founding member of the Ghana Association of Communication Educators (CEAG).
The new GBC boss has written and edited three books and several chapters of peer-reviewed journals and journals, journals, mbad communications and development.

He is a member of the CIMG, the Project Management Institute and the YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative Network). He was inducted into the Forum of West African Nobles, WANF, as the distinguished West Africa, when he won the Titan-Building Nation Awards from the CEO magazine. at the regional and regional levels.
The Times' new CEO has also been named "Marketing Personality of the Year" at the Achievers Awards at West African Regional Magazine in Lagos, Nigeria, in October 2015.
