Yaw Oppong, a private legal practitioner, wants the government to make the guarantee documents allegedly falsified by the Power Distribution Services (PDS) available to the public.
The government suspended the PDS concession for the redemption of the electricity distribution role of the Ghana Electricity Corporation following detected violations.
Energy Minister John Peter Amewu later said that investigations by the government had established that a document submitted by the PDS as a guarantee of takeover was counterfeit.
Yaw Oppong said Thursday that the release of these documents would help the public better understand the concession fiasco.
"It is important that the safeguards that are at the center of this discussion be made available to all of us so that we can review them and see what are the anomalies and what are these acts of fraud the subject of the complaint. so we can find out if these companies claim that the one who executed the guarantee was not allowed, "he said.
The government said it would take 30 days to complete its thorough investigation of the violations detected during the contract with PDS.
The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said at a press conference that the government had set up a team of insurance survey experts, officials from Energy and Finance, as well as officials from the ECG and MIDA. material.
The minister said the purpose of the investigation was to determine the nature of the offenses and to advise on the next steps suggested.
"The large-scale investigation into detected violations has begun and should be completed within 30 days."
