Some police officers from Ghana
The Kenyasi Police Command, in Asnuti-North District of Ahafo Region, is looking for a certain Frank Naro for allegedly killing a two-month-old girl and killing him his mother Selina Seidu in a cottage near Wamahinso.
The macabre incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
Selina's howls drew the inhabitants of a nearby village who rushed in her direction to find her in a pool of blood covered by a deep cut in the back of the girl.
They were taken to the Gyedu Health Center for treatment, but the baby was declared dead upon arrival.
Teddy Dampteh Brown, Kenyasi District Police Commander, confirmed that the girl was dead on the spot, while the mother in critical condition was also treated.
"Yesterday, at about 1.30 pm, a village near Wamahinso announced that a 25-year-old lady Selina Seidu had been attacked by a certain Frank Naro, guardian of the same village. So they came. revealed that Selina Seidu had been wounded by a cutlbad and that the girl of about two months was also injured. The little girl is dead instantly. So the baby and the mother were sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hwidiem, "he said.
He said that the suspect aged about 35 had fled, but that the police had organized a manhunt in his place.
In the meantime, the body was sent to the morgue of St. Elizabeth Hospital waiting for an autopsy while the mother is being treated in the same hospital.
