A man revealed how she had transformed her tired staircase for only £ 65 with vinyl stickers and paint.
The woman shared snapshots of her impressive work on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, led by money-saving specialist Holly Smith.

The DIY guru explained that she had removed the carpet from her stairs because of wear, choosing to exchange it for something easier to maintain.
Next to the pictures before and after, she wrote: "My stairs of £ 65. I had to lift my old carpet (3 children and a dog so that it does not last long).
"It was too expensive to replace the carpet and pay a fitter, which is why I did it myself – it's so much easier to clean now."

When other Facebook users asked her how she got such a professional finish, she added, "It took five minutes to sand them down.
"I kept the old paint on them and I just smoothed them with an orbital electric hand sander.
