Eli Lilly was struck by a subpoena from the New York Attorney General's office regarding the pricing and sale of his insulin-based products, the drug maker said in a document filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The offices of the Attorney General of Mississippi, Washington DC, California, Florida, Hawaii and Nevada are also looking for information on its prices, said Eli Lilly in the document. He has also received requests for civil investigation from Attorney General's offices in Washington and New Mexico.
Eli Lilly did not respond to requests for comment.
Earlier this week, drug maker Sanofi revealed that he, Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk had received a subpoena from the New York GA.
Eli Lily, the maker of successful diabetes treatment Humalog, and other manufacturers have been scrutinized by US lawmakers and the White House over the high cost of insulin, a drug that has saved lives for 100 years.

Instead, pharmaceutical companies have accused pharmacy providers, sometimes called intermediaries, of being responsible for the label shock that some patients are seeing at the counter. Drug companies argue that PBMs should pbad on patient discounts negotiated with manufacturers.
In addition, Eli Lilly stated that the net price of his products, the total paid after taking rebates and discounts into account, had actually decreased over the years.
Eli Lilly launched this year a half price version of Humalog. The renowned product Insulin Lispro costs $ 137.35 per bottle.
