Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp aims for a Premier League explosion after the upcoming season

Jurgen Klopp once again placed the Premier League in the line of fire by reiterating his criticisms of the match schedule.

The Reds start their campaign Sunday with the Community Shield against Manchester City at Wembley, before starting their high-flying home campaign against Norwich City five days later.

Liverpool will not have Sadio Mane this weekend. The winger will be back for training Monday after attending the African Cup of Nations finals on July 19th.

Alison Becker, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were eliminated until the beginning of the week due to international commitments.

In comparison, the Spanish and German leagues start on the weekend of August 17, while the Italian Serie A begins the following week.

And Klopp thinks the upscale English should benefit from longer summer holidays.

Klopp admits that Liverpool could benefit Salah in the short term, while Firmino and Mane stay in shape after such a brief break, though it is difficult to prevent burnout.
