Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa said it was not his job to try to convince players not to leave Elland Road, after goalie Bailey Peabad-Farrell packed for Burnley.

The Northern Ireland international goalkeeper has completed his transfer to the Premier League formation, Burnley, at a cost of approximately 2.5 to 3.5 million pounds.

The Clarets quickly responded to fill the void left by the sale of Tom Heaton to Aston Villa and Burnley boss Sean Dyche wanted Peabad-Farrell to fight for first place.

Peabad-Farrell started last season as Leeds' first-choice goalkeeper, but had to play his second fiddle after Real Madrid's Kiko Casilla came in January.

The 22-year-old decided to leave Elland Road after being relegated to the bench last season and Bielsa, who took over the club last year, said it was not his. to convince the players not to leave.

"He thinks it's not good for him to stay here or where he chooses a place that's best that I do not have to convince him", Said Bielsa at a press conference before the opening match of his team against Bristol City.

"Our job is to try to give them the best, all the things that are comfortable for them.

"We try to create and build a place where players like to stay here and when a player chooses another place and the club decides at the same time that it is convenient to leave, I can not say anything more.

"It is impossible to convince him if he does not want to stay here."

Although Heaton left Burnley, Peabad-Farrell will have to compete with Joe Hart and Nick Pope for first place in Sean Dyche's squad.
