Manchester United has filed an offer for Ajax striker David Neres after agreeing to an agreement on Harry Maguire's signature, according to reports.

United will pay £ 85 million for Maguire, with the agreement subject to medical and personal conditions, although with the Leicester defender eager to take the step forward, the latter should not be an obstacle.

And following this news, the journalist Jorge Nicola reports in his blog for Yahoo (via Sports witness) that the Red Devils have made an offer of 50 M € for Neres.

Neres has already been linked to Liverpool and Everton after an outstanding season with Ajax, scoring 12 goals and badisting 15 times in 50 games.

The report adds that the Brazilian international was about to sign a new agreement with the Dutch side, but the offer of United has delayed a decision on this.

Ajax is only willing to do business for € 70m, but the report adds that an agreement of this magnitude could give United financial fair play problems.
