Courteney Cox is doing her part to ensure the Friends' legacy spreads in the next generation, but it seems like it might take a little while.

The actress played Monica Geller in the ten seasons of this iconic show and was thrilled to relive those memories through interviews and her social media posts.

Courteney's latest setback to the good times came when she did her best to teach a friend's favorite child, Monica's favorite saying: "I KNOW!"

"That's why I try to pbad on this legacy and teach younger children to say," I know "as Monica would do," the 55-year-old explained in an Instagram clip. & # 39; Let's see how it goes. & # 39;

She then tried to have the young child repeat "I know," but the child seemed to grasp the "No" part of the sentence.

"Well, I mean, it's not there yet but I'm sure it'll get better," laughed the Cougar Town star.

Just days after Courteney gave fans another setback, she wished Regina Phalange – sorry, Lisa Kudrow – a happy 56th birthday.

The Dirt actress shared a photo on Instagram of Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay, dressed in Catwoman and Supergirl, from the 2001 episode, The One With The Halloween Party.

From the scene where Phoebe is dead, "Ah, Catwoman. So we'll see each other again, and Monica replies, "So, we … Supergirl."
