Chelsea is ready to listen to offers from Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater after Frank Lampard snubbed the midfielders for the second time this week.

Bakayoko and Drinkwater were out of the Chelsea squad for the last pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach.

The duo also failed to be part of the Chelsea team for Wednesday's victory over Red Bull Salzburg.

Last week, Blues boss Frank Lampard said he had not closed the door in the future of Stamford Bridge players after returning to the club last month.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Lampard considers Bakayoko and Drinkwater to be surplus to needs and will not intervene if Chelsea sells the midfield before closing the summer transfer window.

Chelsea spent £ 40 million for Bakayoko in 2017, but the Frenchman only made 29 appearances in the Premier League for the Blues and was loaned last season to AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Drinkwater played in the extraordinary triumph of the title at Leicester City in 2016, but was unable to impose on Chelsea's starting lineup.

Former manager Maurizio Sarri claimed that Drinkwater was unable to play under his system and Lampard also does not seem convinced by his abilities.

The Telegraph says that Chelsea is open to loan and permanent offers for Bakayoko and Drinkwater, but that interest in the duo is currently rare.

PSG was strongly linked to a move to Bakayoko earlier this summer, but then signed Idrissa Gueye of Everton.

N'Golo Kante, winner of the French World Cup, is now part of the Chelsea team for the trip to Mönchengladbach after a knee injury.

Lampard hopes that Kante will have a few minutes to his credit before the new season. Chelsea will face Manchester United next Saturday.
