The Avengers editors exposed the supporter theory surrounding Captain America's presence at Peggy Carter's funeral during the Civil War, following his decision to travel back in time in Endgame.
At the end of the Endgame, Steve Rogers, aka Cap, made the decision to go back in time and replace the Infinity Stones in their own timeline before finding Peggy – whom he had fallen in love with during the Second World War – and staying in this timeline.
The character's decision, however, left some fans puzzled if it meant there were now two Captain America in the MCU timeline, or if his actions simply created an alternate timeline.
And if that meant there were two Captain America, it meant they were both at Peggy's funeral, which we saw on screen during the Civil War.
Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely opened the fan theory and admitted that they loved the idea of two Steve.
"We had public disagreements with [directors Anthony and Joe Russo] said Markus, but I like the idea that there are two Steve Rogers in the timeline. "
"It's the one who has lived with Peggy for a long time and is at the bottom of this funeral scene watching his young man carry his wife's coffin. Not just for time-traveling mumbo jumbo, but for the strange and personal personal pain and satisfaction that would occur between two Steve Rogers. I love it. & # 39;
He told the Los Angeles Times: "I wish it were going well. There is no clear explanation for Cape Town's time travel. "
The couple is not the first involved in the Marvel universe to discuss fan theories, but Kevin Feige, the boss of Marvel Studios, recently confirmed the real strength of Scarlet Witch's strength against Thanos.

Speaking with ComicBook.com following the brilliant unveiling of the fourth phase of the Marvel Film Universe, Kevin said that Scarlet Witch "is probably close to the top echelons of power."
"I maintain that she would have shot Thanos if he had not called the [army]it was done, "he continued.
