Some islanders were dropped and some found the "real" love. But now that everything is said and done and the winners of Island of love successful (Amber Gill and Greg O'shea for those who did not watch TV), can we talk about the real problem this season.
The guys sucked.
And it's a totally unbiased opinion. If anyone needed a lesson on Gaslighting 101, this season could certainly have been.
The beginning of the season
At first, all men were optimistic when they guessed who they were aiming for the season.
Perhaps the first problem was when Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan started forming a relationship. Everything was fine until Donlan became friends with Tommy Fury.
Garratt was continually annoyed by the friendship and warned Donlan not to spend so much time with Fury.
This behavior attracted so much attention that Women's Aid even commented on it.
"Control behavior is never acceptable, and with Island of love viewers complaining to Ofcom of a record number of Joe's possessive behavior towards Lucie, more and more people are aware of it and want to challenge it, "said the co-director of the foundation, Adina Claire.
The cracks begin to show
The next step was Danny Williams. During his first few weeks at the villa, Williams acted like he was in love with Yewande Biala. He told her that her head would never be turned.
But as soon as the model Arabella Chi entered the villa, he suddenly started making statements for not knowing if his relationship with Biala was right. When Biala approached him about his indecision, it seemed that he was still focusing on her and not on Chi before finally sending Biala home.
Casa Amor
But the real gas lighting started when the girls were sent to Casa Amor. During his absence, Michael Griffiths, who was desperately in love with Gill, decided to move on with Joanna Chimonides.
Changing partners was not Griffith's biggest mistake, it's the same for the clbad Island of love. People had a problem with the way Griffiths acted once back. He constantly blamed Gill for his actions.
It had become so serious that Women's Aid had to comment again.
"Women's Aid is increasingly concerned about what appears to be unhealthy emerging relationships used as entertainment in Island of love"Said Clair in a statement to The sun.
"Lately, the program has shown Amber repeatedly reduced to tears and seemingly manipulated her emotions."
Jordan Hames, who had asked Anna Vakili to be his girlfriend, was tied for second place for the most ugly man in the series.
The worst guy
But the worst guy in the whole villa was the one that no one was expecting. Curtis Pritchard. For most of the season, he has introduced himself as a big, caring and wise guy. But as soon as he got away from his partner, Amy Hart, he tried to meet another girl.
Later, he advised Hames to tell India Reynolds that he had feelings for her without first talking to his girlfriend, Vakili.
The ladies of Island of love of course pbaded the bell this summer. Hope that the cast of next year will select a better crop of men.
