The island of Kate and William has already experienced the dramatic end of another royal wedding

An Antillean retreat worshiped by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has already taken place as part of a frantic royal.

Kate Middleton and Prince William should take their three children to the glamorous island of Mustique.

The future king and his wife would love the secluded solitude and white sand beaches of an island off the archipelago of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

For Kate and Will, Mustique could have close ties to the birth of Prince George. The royal couple would go to a "babymoon" before the arrival of their first son.

But the island is also inextricably linked to another king.

Long before the birth of the Duke or Duchess, Princess Margaret, sister of the Queen, had fallen in love with Mustique.

In 1971 she built a house on the island where she would organize glamorous evenings with a crowd of famous friends.

However, not everything seemed to be above the map.

After causing frowns when she married Anthony Armstrong-Jones – a photographer of the royal family – in 1960, Margaret was going to undergo a tumultuous marriage.

For years, rumors have circulated that the couple had many cases.

When the princess was photographed in Mustique dabbling in cerulean waters with a 17-year-old man, her tongues really began to shake.

Roddy Llewellyn, a 27-year-old man, was photographed on vacation with the 44-year-old princess in 1976.

This was one of many trips the young man made in Margaret's private home.

On one occasion, he left the Caribbean island for an impulsive trip to Turkey, leaving the Royal so helpless that it would have taken an overdose of sleeping pills.

Royal biographer Anne Sebba, speaking in this year's Channel 5 documentary titled "The Royal Family: Business and Infidelities", explained how the pictures were received in the UK.

"It was very unsuitable, so these photos were really dramatic," she said.

"Princess Margaret was after all the sister of the queen, so what about the royal family and their stability?"

Just a month after the photos were splashed on the front page of the News of the World, Margaret and Anthony publicly acknowledged that their wedding was over.

The public end of the royal relationship was so shocking and ill-conceived that some politicians suggested that Margaret be stricken from the civilian role.

Labor MP Dennis Canavan went so far as to call him a "royal parasite".

On July 11, 1978, their divorce was pronounced, making it the first royal couple to divorce since Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh in 1901.
