A Walmart shooting hero told reporters how he tried to transport and transport as many terrified children as possible and to escape safely during the bloodshed.
Military Glen Oakley was inside Walmart when the shooting in El Paso took place today.
He saw terrified people shaking in a Foot Locker store and children running without their parents, frightened and alone while the gunshots rang out.

"I called a friend, and I'm here now, but it was just a group of kids, I'm shaking, a group of kids, they were without their parents and their stuff I was trying to pick up as much as I could and get them out with me. "
Mr. Oakley, who was buying a jersey at the time, said he feared the police would think he was the gunman and that he had to explain that he had a license to carry a firearm.
He added that a "small child" had burst into the store and had declared that there was an "active shooter at Walmart", but that at the beginning, neither he nor the member of the Staff on duty did not believe him "like a mere kid".
