Friday night announced that he has recovered human remains from one
Drain tank in an unfinished building previously occupied by Samuel
Odeoutuk-Willis.
Odeoutuk-Willis is a
accused brought to justice for kidnapping three Takoradi
Missing girls.
The bodies were
discovered in an operation by the Western Regional Command of the criminal
Investigation Department of the police department at 7 pm Friday, as part of
investigation of the case in Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi.
The remains would be
sent to the police forensic laboratory of the Ghana Police Service for
badysis and further investigation, said the police in a statement, with a copy to
Ghana News Agency.
Deputy Superintendent
of police Juliana Oppong, head of the public relations department of the CID
Headquartered in Accra, signed the declaration.
Odeoutuk-Willis
reportedly led the investigation team to the site located near the youth hostel of
Methodist high school for girls.
The first victim,
Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, was kidnapped in Kansaworodo on August 17, 2018;
The second victim, 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, was kidnapped in
Butumegyabu Junction, better known as BU Junction in Takoradi, the
December 4th of last year, the third being Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 15 years old, a
freshman from Sekondi College (SEKCO) residing in West Fijai
with his parents. She disappeared to a place near the junction of Nkroful on
December 4th of last year.
One day after the third
victim has disappeared, the police, through intensive investigations, stopped
Uudoetuk-Wills, a 28-year-old Nigerian national, taken from his hiding place
outskirts of Kansaworodo.
The case has since
attracted national attention with increasing pressure on the police to find the girls.
